Chapter 66: [Review] Aqualabel by Shiseido - Moist coat essence

Hello~

I'll be reviewing my AQUALABEL Moist Coat Essence I bought a while back in this post! Decided to use it for a while before giving it a review :) It's retailed at S$27.90, not sure where is it available, but most probably Watsons.

It has a nice non-sticky, non-oily and velvety feel, which I like. And it comes in a balm like form, so its pretty okay for me I guess? I'm not a fussy person, but however, it is a little bit annoying to get enough product out because of its balm type form, so I have to make sure I clean my nails and wash my hands properly and lightly dig enough product out with my nails. Sounds gross, but that's how I do it, like it or not. Its wayyyy better than having to rub your fingers on the product and have some of it underneath your nails, because you might accidentally scratch some off if you have long nails and end up making a mess.

Unlike most pore concealers, it isn't oily, so I like it a lot. It appears as white, but is matte and transparent when applied. Also, the foundation glides on well, that means no product will be rubbed off with your foundation sponges and stuff like that! Woohoooo! And because it hydrates the skin, I find it good too! In fact, it can be used as part of your daily skincare regime! And, it smells nice. Just like UHU glue sticks - Just not as strong as the glue.. :x In my opinion, because im a super bargain hunter, $27.90 for 6g worth of product is kinda pricey. Call me cheapskate, but I DO run to sales racks, expo sales, private sales and stuffs like that and im never ashamed, LOL. Heck, I've got super duper good buys from digging through those giant containers full of $5 clothes in Bugis street. I mean, you're rarely gonna find nice clothes for $5 in Bugist Street, im telling you. And.. I bought this for $5 too at the Shiseido private sales at its HQ. Because before this, I was already contemplating to get Maybelline's Baby Skin Pore Eraser, but kind of decided against it, since I might not know what kind of gems I would stumble upon in the Shiseido sale. And TAAAADAAAAA~ I FOUND THIS BABY. HURRAY!!!

I am going to stock up on it IF there is another sale next year I guess.. :x If not i'll just buy it for its original price and use it more sparingly, because it IS a good product.. T_T Not to mention, after using this, after a full day of makeup under the hot hot sun in Singapore, I will always expect my skin condition to deteriorate or have some minor outbreaks here and there, especially around my cheeks, but -dramatic pause- NO. My skin condition actually IMPROVED, because I only put this around the bumpy areas of my face, that means, the tiny bumps caused by blackheads/whiteheads and the like. My skin is a combination type, but slightly oilier than the rest for the cheek areas near the nose and my T zone. And yup, my skin gets slightly smoothed out after every use, which is why I love it so much!
HOWEVER, because different people have different needs and skin types, i'm not very sure if it will work for you, but generally, I think this is a good pore concealer and I will buy it again.
